Abstract: |
The 2D finite element model of flow field in partially filled internal mixer at constant temperature was established using FLUENT.The mixing results of the mixer under different filling factors were investigated. The studied filling factors were 0.3,0.7 and 0.95.The results showed that, with the increase of filling factor, the maximum shear stress and the torque input to operate the machine increased.Compared with the filling factor 0.3 and 0.95,mixer with filling factor 0.7 could provide better flow field characteristics for mixing. |
