Section 1: Publishing Scope

 

China Rubber Industry is a professional and authoritative journal in the rubber industry governed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and sponsored by Beijing Research and Design Institute of Rubber Industry Co., Ltd. It was founded in 1953 and mainly reports the development direction, scientific research results, product development, production experience and market information of rubber industry.The main columns set up are as follows:

 

1.   Special Contribution: This column invites famous experts and scholars in rubber field to write articles on hot topics in rubber industry.

2.  Applied Theory: This column publishes the theoretical research related to the rubber industry, including but not limited to the structure and performance of various types of rubber, product performance improvement research based on finite element simulation, and rubber material modification research, etc.

3.  Materials • Compounding: This column publishes the content related to rubber materials, including rubber and other polymers, skeleton materials, rubber additives, reinforcing materials and compounding.

4.  Product • Design: This column publishes the articles related to the design and manufacture of rubber products, including but not limited to tires, hoses and sealing products, etc.

5.  Technology • Equipment: This column includes the process equipment technology in the manufacturing process of rubber products.

6.  Testing • Analysis: This column includes test and analysis methods of raw materials, manufacturing process and finished products for rubber products.

7.  Comprehensive and Special Review: This column includes the development trend and strategy analysis of the rubber industry, simulation and simulation technology application research, green recycling technology research and application, tire analysis and evaluation, and supporting tire technical requirements, etc.

 

 

 

 

Section 2: Requirement for Manuscript

 

1.  General Requirement: The content of the paper should be in line with the content published in the journal, preferably with 5000~8000 Chinese characters.

2.  Title: The title of the paper should generally be within 20 Chinese characters and should be concise and precise; the abbreviations in the title should be standardized. The title should correspond in both Chinese and English.

3.  Author: The author's institute, city and zip code must be indicated in the paper, and both Chinese and English are required.

4.  Footnote: The footnote in the paper should include: the first author's birth year, gender, native place, degree (acquired), job title and research direction; the name of the fund project and the approval number.

5.  Abstract: The abstract should be more than 200 words, and both Chinese and English are required. The content should include objective, methods, results and conclusion.

6.  Keywords: List the keywords (4~8) and the classification number of the Chinese Library. Keywords should be words or phrases that can reflect the content of the paper. Chinese and English keywords should be corresponding in both content and order, and English keywords should be in noun form.

7.  Introduction: Inintroduction, authors should provide sufficient research background information concisely and accurately, point out the deficiencies in the current research, and introduce the research topic and innovation of this paper.Do not repeat abstract orconclusion.

8.  Results and Conclusions: The results and conclusions should be clear and precise, and key data can be cited.

9.  References:Preferably no less than 15 articlesshall be quoted and more than 50% should bepublished in recently 5 years, more than 60% in foreign languages. The references should be markedproperlyin the text, and the order of the references after the text should be the same as the order of appearance in the text.References in Chinese should be translated to English. The translation should be put under the same serial number in another line below the Chinese.

 

Section 3: Ethics

 

1.  Academic Integrity: This journal only publishes manuscript that has not been published before. It is strictly forbidden to submit the same manuscript to more than one journal, to submit duplicate content (including separate submissions in different languages) orto plagiarize others' papers. If the manuscript involves confidential matters, the author is solely responsible. The editorial office ensures that each manuscript is tested for academic misconduct by the system developed by CNKI, and will reject manuscript which text reproduction ratio exceeds 20%. Under any circumstances, the journal and the editors shall deal with any academic misconduct seriously.It is suggested that all authors take a pre-test of plagiarism before submission. At present, only Wanfang Data provides testing services to individual users. 2. Authorship: Authors should be limited to those who have made significant contributors to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the manuscript research. It is strictly forbidden to include persons irrelevant to the paper.Authors should conduct self-examination in accordance with Guide for Authorship (accessible at Download Center) before submitting. Misconduct of authorship may lead to severe punishment.

3.  Conflicts of Interest: Potential conflicts of interest are defined as when the financing/ personal status/ affiliation of the authors (or the authors' organization/ employer) may affect the authors' decision, work or manuscript. Authors should conduct self-examination in accordance with Statement of Copyright Transfer and Competing Interests (accessible at Download Center) before submitting.If there is a conflict of interest, the editorial office should be informed by authors upon submission. The journal encourages authors to declare conflicts of interest at the end of the article. The authors shall confirm in the submission system that "there is no conflict of interest" or "the conflict of interest has been disclosed".

 

 

Section 4: Peer Review and Editing

 

1.  Peer Review: Each manuscript is submitted to relevant experts for single blind peer review according to the column. The experts will comprehensively evaluate the manuscript from the aspects of scientificity, innovation and guidance, and give objective review results and modification suggestions. For the manuscripts that pass the examination, the editorial office will send the acceptance notice to the author, and inform the author of the peer review results within 15 working days after receiving the manuscripts. Reviewer’s judgments should be objective, unaffected by potential conflict of interests. Manuscripts under review should be treated confidentially. Authors can download and scan thePeer Review Format “Download Center” to get more information on the standard of peer review.

2.  Editing Policy: All authors shall be responsible for their own writing. For accepted manuscripts, the journal may make some technical or wording amendments, which will not change the original meaning. If the authors disagree with the amendments, please make a statement when returning the revised manuscript.

3.  Timing: The journal will notify the author once the manuscript is accepted. If the review result has not been received more than 3 months after submission, it can be regarded as being rejected. The journal will not issue notice for such cases. Authors can re-submit the manuscript to another journal after confirming with the editorial office. If authors do not return the revised manuscript within the time limit, the manuscript will be regarded as being withdrawn.

4.  Submission by Editors: The editorial staff / editors / editorial board members should not be involved in publishing decisions on papers which they have written themselves or have been written by their family members or colleagues. Any such submission should be strictly subject to the journal’s usual editorial process. Peer review should be handled independently from the relevant author/editor and their research groups.

 

 

 

 

Section 5: Correction and Retraction

 

 

1.   General Situation: Articles published online or in print are considered the final and complete version. In principle, the journal does not make corrections or retractions on published articles. However, in case of the situations described below, corrections or retractions may be carried out if truly necessary.The journal is always willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.

2.   Authors Responsibility:All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.

3.  Process: If there is suspicion of misbehavior or alleged fraud, the journals and/or Publisher will carry out an investigation following COPE guidelines.If, after an investigation, there are valid concerns, the authors concerned will be contacted under their given email address and given anopportunity to address the issue. Depending on the situation, this may result in the journal and/or publisher’s implementation of the followingmeasures, including, but not limited to:

1)  If the manuscript is still under consideration, it may be rejected and returned to the author.

2)  If the article has already been published online, depending on the nature and severity of the infraction:an erratum/correction may be placed with the articlean editor’s note or editorial expression of concern may be placed with the articleor, in severe cases, retraction of the article may occur.

3)  The reason will be given in the published erratum/correction. Please note that retraction means that the article is maintained on theplatform watermarked “retracted” and the explanation is provided in a note linked to the watermarked article.The author’s institution may be informed.

4)  A notice of suspected transgression of ethical standards in the acquisition and editing system may be included as part of the author’sand article’s bibliographic record.

 

 

Section 6: Open Access, Copyright and Archive

 

 

1.  OA Policy:China Rubber Industry changed to open access in 2020. Once published, all articles will be immediately and permanently available for readers to read and download free of charge. All archived articles from 1994 are also open access on this website. Articles published before 1994 are not open access. Permitted third party reuse of the articles published by the journal is defined by the following user license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows reusers to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the license terms below are followed: reusers must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. Reusers may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses the use. Reusers may not use the material for commercial purposes. If reusers remix, transform, or build upon the material, they may not distribute the modified material. The authors have right to spread or make use of the article under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License. 2. Copyright Transfer: Authors shall confirm in the submission system that all authors agree on all terms of the Statement of Copyright Transfer and Competing Interests. All authors shall agree that once the article is accepted, the copyright of the whole article, any part of the article, relevant content (such as research topic, research ideas, methods, processes, data, and results, including theoretical deduction and experimental processes) and any part that can be extracted from the article, will be transferred to the editorial office of China Rubber Industry, including the right of reproduce, distribution, online dissemination, broadcast, performance, translation, compilation and adaption free of charge.

3.  Database Inclusion: The journal has licensed CNKI, Wanfang and Weipu to digitally copy, compile, distribute and disseminate the full text of the articles through the information network. The remuneration paid by this journal includes the copyright royalties of above databases. Submission of Manuscript to this journal shall be deemed as the agreement of all authorsto the above statement. If authors have any dissent, please make a statement at the time of submission, and the journal will make arrangement accordingly.

4.   Archive: Since 1994, all journal articles have been digitally archived and can be searched and downloaded from the journal website. In order to ensure data security, all information has also been backed up in the editorial office. Before1994 the hard and soft copy of each issue of the journal had been kept in the editorial office for archiving. In addition, other relevant materials are also kept by the editorial office, such as supplementary information and forms provided by the authors.
