Abstract:
      A FE model of diaphragm type air springs was established with non-linear FEA software Abaqus to simulate and analyze the stiffness characteristics and the influence of the cord parameters such as cord angle,the distance and number of cord plies,and cord density on vertical and transverse stiffness characteristics of the air springs was discussed.The results showed that,the stiffness of the diaphragm type air spring was improved with the increase of cord angle and the number of cord plies,and the reduction of the distance of cord plies,while cord density had little effect.The error from results of FEA to test was less than 5%,so the model was effective.
