| The surface of calcinated kaolin was modified by different silane coupling agents,and the influence of the type and addition level on the properties of calcinated kaolin-filled EPDM compound was investigated.The results showed that the silane coupling agent had little effect on the scorch time and optimum curing time of calcinated kaolin-filled EPDM compound;the coupling agent A-172 had a more significant modifying effect and gave EPDM vulcanizate much higher tear strength;and the extra coupling agent A-172 would result in worse solvent resistance of EPDM vulcanizate. |
