| Abstract: |
| The effect of the primary flame retardant magnesium hydroxide [Mg(OH)2] combined with decabromo diphenylethane(DBDPE)/antimonous oxide(Sb2O3)/ingredient A——a polymerized organo-silicone on the properties of EPDM/PP TPV was investigated.The results showed that the physical properties of EPDM/PP TPV would decrease by adding Mg(OH)2;the flame retardance of EPDM/PP TPV improved significantly by using Mg(OH)2 combined with DBDPE and Sb2O3,and the physical properties and rheological properties changed little;and the oxidative index of EPDM/PP TPV increased remarkably and the rheological properties improved by adding ingredient A,but the physical properties decreased.The optimized flame-retardant formula of EPDM/PP TPV was as follows:EPDM/PP TPV 100,Mg(OH)2 50,DBDPE 20,Sb2O3 7,ingredient A 5. |
