Abstract:
      The organomontmorillonite(OMMT)/IIR nanocomposites were prepared by melt intercalation and their properties were investigated.The results showed that the molecular chains of IIR were intercalated into the nano-OMMT layers in the composites;compared with the pure IIR vulcanizate or inorganic clay/IIR microcomposite,the prepared OMMT/IIR nanocomposites possessed better physical properties,which improved with the increase of OMMT content;and compared with the pure IIR vulcanizate,the prepared OMMT/IIR nanocomposites had more excellent air-tightness.
