Abstract:
      The design of 59/80R63 all-steel giant off-the-road radial tire was described.In the structure design,the following parameters were taken:overall diameter 4 022 mm,cross sectional width 1 451 mm,width of running surface 1 304 mm,arc height of running surface 98 mm,bead diameter at rim seat  1 595.4 mm,bead width at rim seat 1 117.6 mm,maximum width position of cross–section(H1/H2) 0.97,the tread using a longitudinal and transverse pattern design,pattern depth 116 mm,number of pattern pitches 42,block/total ratio 75.1%.In the construction design,the following processes were taken:the tread forming adopting composite winding process,the belt using a six-layer belt structure,1# and 2# belt using 7×(3+9×0.30)+0.20HT steel cord,3# and 4# belt using 7×(3+9+15×0.245)+0.245HT steel cord,5# and 6# belts using 4×6×0.25HE steel cord,the carcass using 7×(3+9+15×0.245)+0.245HT steel cord,the green tire building using five drum secondary molding machine.The performance test results of the finished tire showed that,the inflated peripheral dimention,X-ray inspection results and durability of the tire met the design and national standard requirements,the road test time had accumulated over 5000 h, and the mass production conditions were met.
