Abstract:
Microcrystalline cellulose(MCC) was prepared from sugarcane bagasse as raw material.MCC was used as the matrix and 2,3-epoxypropyl trimethylammonium chloride(GTMAC) was used as the cationic active agent, quaternary ammonium salt groups were grafted onto the surface of MCC to prepare quaternized microcrystalline cellulose(QMCC),and the antibacterial properties of QMCC and its application effect in natural latex were studied. The results showed that with the increase of GTMAC dosage in quaternization, the antibacterial property of QMCC increased at first and then tended to stabilize. The minimum inhibitory concentration of QMCC was 2.56 g·L-1.QMCC had a significant antibacterial and preservative effect on natural latex, and QMCC was expected to replace ammonia substances as a new antibacterial preservative for natural latex.
