Abstract: |
Properties of styrene-ethylene-butene-styrene(SEBS) block copolymers with different structures were studied. The results indicated that the processing flowability of conventional SEBS YH-503 and YH-602 was poor.Under the conditions the addition of polypropylene, the linear structure oil-extended YH-503 had a higher tensile strength, and it was suitable for products with higher strength requirement. The star shaped structure oil-extended YH-602 had good elasticity and processing performance, and it was suitable for products with high elasticity requirements.SEBS of styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer with high 1,2-structure contents(higher than 60%) before hydrogena0tion had moderate tensile strength, good elasticity and high melt flow rate, and it could be processed and applied without oil filling.SEBS with random copolymerization of styrene and butadiene in molecular middle chain segments had large hardness and tensile strength, excellent melt flowability and transparency, and good compatibility with inorganic fillers and organic polar materials. As the styrene monomer content increased, the tensile strength and set after break of SEBS of hydrogenated styrene-butadiene random copolymer without polystyrene blocks at both ends of molecular chain decreased. This structure SEBS/ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer foam material had high elasticity and small compression deformation and low thermal shrinkage rate. |
