| Abstract: |
| The effect of heat treatment temperatures on the properties of the pyrolytic carbon black (CBp) and its application in natural rubber(NR) compound were studied. The results showed that at treatment temperatures ranging from 350 to 550 ℃,the specific surface area and toluent extract transmittance of CBp significantly increased with the rising of the temperature, indicating improvement in its physicochemical properties. The Mooney viscosity of the compound filled with heat treatment CBp increased, while the scorch time and vulcanization time shortened. As the heat treatment temperature of CBp increased, the 300% modulus and tear strength of the CBp filled vulcanizate first increased and then decreased, the compression fatigue temperature rise initially decreased and then increased, the CBp filled vulcanizate with a heat treatment temperature of 450 ℃ exhibited the highest 300% modulus of 7.38 MPa.The rebound value and elongation at break of the vulcanizate filled with the heat treated CBp increased. |
