| Abstract: |
| As one of the tens of thousands of components in automobiles, tires play a crucial role in driving. Active safety measures such as braking and ABS in cars require tires to be implemented. In recent years, how to shorten the braking distance of tires on wet roads has become a hot research direction for enterprises. At present, the national standard for wet grip performance testing of sedan tires is GB/T 21910-2017, and the European standard is ECE R117. This article analyzes the differences between (the vehicle method)for wet grip performance of passenger car tires in GB/T 21910-2017 and ECE R117, providing a reference for correctly testing the wet grip performance of passenger car tires. The differences of the wet grip performance test methdods(GB/T 21910—2017 and ECE R117)(vehicle method) for passenger car tires were analyzed.Through experimental comparison,it was found that when tire loads and testing wet road surface temperatures and ambient temperatures were not significantly different, the braking distance of the test tire tested by GB/T 21910—2017 and ECE R117 was not significantly different, but due to the differences in tire inflation pressures and standard reference testing tire(SRTT) manufactures, there was a significant difference in the braking distance of SRTT tested by the two standard,so the final tested and calculated wet grip performance index of the test tire also showed a significant difference. This study could provide a reference for effectivly testing the wet grip performance of passenger car tires. |
