| Abstract: |
| Butyl rubber(IIR)/Polypropylene(PP) thermoplastic vulcanizate(TPV) was prepared by dynamic vulcanization method, and the effect of expanded graphite(EG) dosages on the physical properties, crystallization behavior, heat aging resistance, microstructure and flame retardant properties of IIR/PP TPV was investigated. The results showed that with the increase of EG dosage, the tensile strength of TPV first increased and then decreased. When the EG dosage was 20 phr,the physical properties of TPV were better.EG could promote the crystallization of PP and improve the glass transition temperature and crystallization temperature of TPV,but had little effect on the melting temperature.Compared with the TPV without EG,TPV with EG after aging exhibited higher tensile strength retention and better flame retardant property. When the EG dosage was less than 40 phr,EG was uniformly dispersed in TPV,and when the EG dosage was 40 phr,EG agglomerated. Keywords: expanded graphite, butyl rubber, polypropylene, thermoplastic Vulcanizate, flame retardant property |
