| Abstract: |
| The isothermal crystallization process of Eucommia ulmoides gum(EUG) vulcanizate was analyzed using differential scanning calorimetry,X-ray diffraction and polarized light microscope.According to Avrami equation and Hoffman nucleation theory,the nucleations and growths of crystals of EUG vulcanizate were analyzed.The results showed that the crystallinities of EUG vulcanizate were similar at different crystallization temperatures,but the proportions of α and β crystal forms were different.When the crystallization temperature was higher than 25 ℃,it was beneficial to the growth of α crystal form,and
the crystals of EUG vulcanizate grew in three dimensions through homogeneous nucleation. When the crystallization temperature was lower than 25 ℃,it was beneficial to the growth of β crystal form,and the
crystals of EUG vulcanizate grew in three dimensions through heterogeneous nucleation.At same crystallization temperature,the growth rate of α crystal form of EUG vulcanizate was smaller than that of β crystal form,and the surface free energies of α and β crystal forms were 1.91×1011 and 2.30×10 11 mJ·m -2,respectively. |
