Abstract:
      The application of pyrolysis carbon black (CBp)in tread compounds of all-steel truck and bus radial (TBR) tires was studies.The results showed that replacing 35 phr of carbon black N660 and 15 phr of silica 1165 with 41.2 phr of CBp and 8.8 phr of silica 1165 resulted in the maximum Mooney viscosity of the compound,replacing 35 phr of carbon black N660 and 15 phr of silica 1165 with 50 phr of CBp resulted in the shortest t10and t90 of the compound.Replacing 35 phr of carbon black N660 and 15 phr of silica 1165 with 46.7 phr of CBp and 3.3 phr of silica 1165 and with 50 phr of CBp resulted in comparable G and ΔGof the compound,and ΔG was larger.Replacing 35 phr of carbon black N660 and 15 phr of silica 1165 with 43.7 phr of CBp and 6.3 phr of silica 1165 resulted in the maximum 300% modulus of the vulcanizate.Replacing 35 phr of carbon black N660 with 35 phr of CBp resulted in the maximum tensile strength and elongation at break of the vulcanizate.Replacing 35 phr of carbon black N660 and 15 phr of silica 1165 with 50 phr of CBp resulted in the minimum wear volume of the vulcanizate,the maximum tanδ at 0 °C and 60 °C,and the largest proportion of agglomerate areas,with the worst dispersion of the filler.
