Abstract:
      A sealant was prepared using silane terminated polyether as the main raw material,and applied to the exterior wall joints of concrete building.The rheological properties,acid and alkali resistance,freezing-thawing resistance,pollution resistance,aging resistance and water resistance of the sealant were studied.The results indicated that with the extension of curing time,the tensile strength of the sealant film first increased and then tended to stablize.As the pH value of soaking solution increasesd,the changes in the tensile strength and elongation at break of the sealant film were smaller,which had a certain degree of acid and alkali resistance.After 12 months of outdoor exposure,the elongation at break of the sealant film decreased by 2.4%,which exhibited good aging resistance.The exterior wall joints of concrete building coated with sealant had good freezing-thawing resistance and pollution resistance.When soaked in water for 7 d,the exterior wall joints of concrete building coated with sealant showed good tensile bonding performance,and the elongation at break remained unchanged,which displayed excellent water resistance.The sealant prepared using silane teminated polyether was suitable for the exterior wall joints of concrete building.
