Abstract:
      Different amounts of octavinyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(OVPOSS),N,N′-meta phenylene bismaleimide(HVA-2) and trimethylolpropane trimethylacrylate(TMPTMA) were added as co-crosslinking agents to the tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber compounds with dicumyl peroxide/triallyl isocyanurate crosslinking system,and the properties of the compounds were studied.The results showed that adding certain amount of OVPOSS could improve the vulcanization rate and crosslinking density of the tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber compound.Before aging in high temperature water,only the tensile strength of the tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber compound with OVPOSS was greater than that of the base compound without co-crosslinking agent.After aging in high temperature water at 300 ℃ for 24 h,the tensile strength of the tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber compound with 5 phr of OVPOSS was the maximum,which was 7.24 MPa,and the volume change rate and mass change rate was smaller.The tensile strength of the tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber compound with 9 phr of HVA-2 was the minimum,which was 0.82 MPa,indicating that the tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber compound had failed.The mass change rate and volume change rate of the tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber compound with TMPTMA showed an increasing trend.Overall,the tetrafluoroethylene-propylene rubber compound with 5 phr of OVPOSS had the best high temperature water resistance.
