Abstract: |
Because of its excellent properties, foam silicone rubber has important application prospects in aerospace, weapons, electronics and other fields. Foam silicone rubber is limited by the traditional foaming method, and its structural properties are greatly limited, which is difficult to meet the needs of engineering development for its high performance and special mechanical response. Additive manufacturing (also known as 3D printing) is an outstanding technology because it can freely create complex geometries, thus avoiding traditional complex and expensive molding methods and processing routes. This mold-less manufacturing process is rapidly evolving to provide materials with undiscovered properties from micro to macro. 3D printing technology can regulate the fine structure of rubber, so it has been studied by more and more people. This paper summarizes the recent research progress of 3D printing technology in silicone rubber, and discusses the curing behavior of 3D printing ink, the regulation of rheological properties, and the hole making method as the entry point, which is helpful to systematically understand the current status of 3D printing silicone rubber and provide guidance for 3D printing silicone rubber. |
