Abstract: |
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)(powder) was added to nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) compounds, and the effects of PTFE dosages on the tensile properties and adrasion resistance of NBR compounds were studied. The results showed that,as the PTFE dosage increased, the tensile strength and elongation at break of the NBR compound initially increased and subsequently decreased, and Akron abrasion loss,DIN abrasion loss, friction coefficient and surface roughness variation initially decreased and subsequently increased. When the PTFE dosage reached 4 phr,the compound exhibited optimal tensile properties and adrasion resistance. The wear mechanisms of NBR compound added with PTFE was dominated by abrasive wear, accompanied by curling wear and adhesive wear. |
