Abstract: |
In this study,the blends of natural rubber(NR) and eucommia ulmoides (EUG) were
prepared,and effects of NR/EUG blend ratios on the properties of NR/EUG blend(without filler) and silica
reinforced NR/EUG blend were studied. The results showed that,the proportion and size of EUG island
structure of the NR/EUG blend increased with the increase of EUG amount,and the “ridge” lines on the
surface of the NR/EUG blend became more distinct. The tensile strength of the NR/EUG blend with NR/
EUG blend ratio of 80/20 was the largest,which was 28. 8 MPa,and the crack growth rate was the smallest,
which was 23. 5 nm·c-1. The NR/EUG blend with 70/30 NR/EUG blend ratio had the best tensile fatigue
resistance,reaching 2 million fatigue cycles before failure. Moreover,with the increase of EUG amount,the
Shore A hardness,tear strength and storage modulus of the silica reinforced NR/EUG blend increased,and
the tensile set decreased. The silica reinforced NR/EUG blend with NR/EUG blend ratio of 85/15 had small
cutting amount,the lowest compression temperature rise and the lowest Akron abrasion. |
