| Abstract: |
| The effect of mixing processes on the properties of Eucommia ulmoides gum(EUG)/natural rubber(NR) blends with different blend ratios was studied. The results showed that, when the amount of EUG was no more than 30 phr, there was no obvious crystallization in the EUG/NR blends. The crystalline structure of EUG vulcanizate was β crystal form.Compared with EUG/NR blend under dry mixing process, the Payne effect of EUG/NR blend under wet mixing process was weak and the carbon black dispersion was better. With the increase of the amount of EUG,the tensile strength of EUG/NR blend decreased.Under the wet mixing process, the tensile fatigue life of EUG/NR blend was extended. When the amount of EUG was 20 phr,the tensile fatigue lives of EUG/NR blends under dry and wet mixing processes were both the largest. |
