Abstract:
      The odor level of the silicone rubber vulcanized by 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di-(tert-butylperoxy) hexane was reduced by adding modified calcium hydroxide,and the influence of modified calcium hydroxide on the vulcanization characteristics,dynamic mechanical properties and physical properties of the silicone rubber was studied.The results showed that modified calcium hydroxide could affect the vulcanization process of the silicone rubber,absorb the by-products produced in the vulcanization process,and promote the vulcanization reaction,which resulted in higher crosslinking density,higher Shore A hardness,higher tensile stress at a give elongation and tensile strength of the silicone rubber.When the addition level of modified calcium hydroxide was 2 phr,the overall performance of the silicone rubber was the best.
