Abstract: |
This paper summarized the bonding principle of double coated adhesive and the bonding
failure modes between rubber and metal. For a certain type of primary rubber spring(primary spring),the
mold filling process and pressure maintaining vulcanization process were analyzed and calculated by using
Sigmasoft simulation software. The study showed that the root causes of the bonding failure between rubber
and metal of the primary spring were that the radial dimension tolerance of the outer sleeve was large,
the effect of the radial sealing compound was poor, and the vulcanization pressure at the edge of the outer
sleeve was small. By changing the radial sealing of the outer sleeve of the primary spring to vertical sealing,
replacing the original two-lobe mold structure by integral mold structure, and increasing the vulcanization
pressure at the edge of the outer sleeve of the primary spring, the problem of bonding failure between rubber
and metal was completely solved. |
