Abstract: |
In this study, silica was modified by using modifiers with different molecular chain length and the effect of modified silica on the properties of natural rubber(NR) composite was studied. The modifiers included ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, butanediol diglycidyl ether, hexanediol diglycidyl ether and poly
(ethylene glycol)diglycidyl ether(PEGDGE). The results showed that compared with the NR composite filled with unmodified silica, the t10 and t90 of the NR composite filled with modified silica were shortened, the FL,storage modulus(G′ ) and hardness decreased, and the tensile strength, elongation at break and tear strength increased. With PEGDGE as the modifier which had a radius of gyration of 1. 11 nm,the particle spacing of modified silica was the largest, the dispersion was the best, the crosslinking density of NR composite was the largest, the G′ and loss factor were the smallest, and the physical properties were
the best. |
