Abstract: |
In order to obtain perfect properties of dynamic seals, Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer (EPDM) was prepared by mechanical blending, and the effects of dicumyl peroxide (DCP) content on the curing time, hardness, tensile property and wettability of EPDM were investigated. The results showed that with the increasement of DCP content in EPDM, the curing time of EPDM decreased. The properties of hardness, tensile strength, fracture strength and wetting angle of EPDM first increased and then decreased with increasing of DCP content in EPDM. EPDM showed the best mechanical properties and the worse affinity to water at the DCP content of 3phr. |
