Abstract:
In order to improve wear-resisting performance and the damage of crash and block of the tire tread during usage of engineering vehicle refurbished tire, after the carbon black and white carbon black as reinforcing agent were added to tread substrate formula, treads under three different formulas were processed for physical and mechanical property tests, such as: tensile strength, tear strength, 300% stretch stress, tensile elongation, wear resistance index, hardness and carbon black dispersion scanning and so on, by changing the dosage and loading sequence. The following main conclusions are obtained: in the single carbon black formula system, when quality of carbon black N151 was 40 and in the mixed formula system, when the quality of carbon black N330 was 40, quality of white carbon black was 20, the effect of performance reinforcement was more ideal, performance of wearing resistance and anti-crash and block were greatly increased. In this paper, the theory of molecular chain sliding explained the reinforcement mechanism of carbon black, it was necessary to maintain a suitable adsorption ratio surface area between the carbon black particles and the rubber molecular chain which the amount of carbon black was required for the best value. Because if the carbon black content was too low, the rubber chain could not be closely integrated, and if the carbon black content was too high, this could lead to the small space between the carbon black particles, which in the same way, rubber chain could not be integrated effectively, the reinforcement effect was not ideal.
