Abstract:
BCT-2 was an antibacterial and bactericide of environment friendly, that was chosen to compound with ammonia and used as a new compound preserving agent for fresh latex. The preservation effect and influence of that on the properties of the six indexes of raw rubber and the vulcanization characteristics of rubber compound and the physical and mechanical properties of cross-linked rubber were investigated in the paper. The result showed that BCT-2/NH3 compound preservative preserved effect were better than NH3 and NH3+TT/ZnO. After preserving 144 hours, the volatile fatty acid number (VFA NO.) were about 0.05, the viscosities were about 10 mPa·s, the pH value were above 9.0. The P0, PRI and Mv of raw rubber were lower than that preserved with ammonia. With the addition of BCT-2, the ML, MH, t10 and t90 of compound samples dropped in some extent compared with ammonia preserved one. While BCT-2/NH3 compound preservative had little effect for the physical and mechanical properties of cross-linked rubber.
