Abstract: |
The high speed mixing aramid fiber was obtained by mixing modified kaolin,coupling agent KH-550 and aramid fiber,and the effect of high speed mixing aramid fiber on the physical properties of EPDM and its dispersion on the dynamic stiffness of EPDM were investigated.The results showed that with the addition level of aramid fiber increased,its dispersion in EPDM becamed worse,the dispersibility of 1 mm aramid fiber was better than that of 3 mm aramid fiber.The Mooney viscosity of EPDM compound increased with the increasing of addition level of aramid fiber,the comprehensive physical properties of EPDM compound filled with 1 mm aramid fiber was better than that filled with 3 mm aramid fiber,and the optimum addition level of aramid fiber was 5~10 phr.The Payne effect of the compound increased with the increasing of addition level of aramid fiber,the rubber-filler structure was destroyed,along with the increasing of dynamic stiffness .The dynamic stiffness of the compound filled with 1 mm aramid fiber was greater than that filled with 3 mm aramid fiber. |
