Abstract:
      We successfully prepared carbon-coated silica fillers with glucose as a carbon source material. By changing the glucose dosage in carbon-coated silica filler, we studied the impact of how the different carbon content effect on the filler/rubber nanocomposites. Studies have shown that carbon-coated silica filler performed more dispersible and the processing performance of its filled-rubber are significantly improved, carbon-coated filler/rubber composites based on glucose can increase 30% compared to silica/rubber composites in abrasion resistence, take the most excellent physical and mechanical properties by mixing with rubber. With the analysis of carbon-coated filler /rubber nanocomposites and microscopic characterization of the filler, we summarized in the mechanism of the effect between silica and carbon source material, also discussed the impact on the performance of the filler/rubber composites.
