Abstract: |
Powered rubber was produced by heated air spray drying method or superheated steam spray drying method, and the morphological structures and properties of the dried materials were investigated. FT-IR showed that the oxygenic groups were grafted into molecular chains easier by heated air spray drying method relative to by superheated steam spray drying method, which caused oxidative breakdown. SEM analysis indicated the materials were dried more evenly by superheated steam spray drying method, which was helpful for evaporation of water. GPC results showed the rubber chains were broken up easier to reduce molecular weight by heated air spray drying method, instead the drying method of superheated steam can make rubber chains keep original features. |
