Abstract: |
In this paper, the effect of two different envirenment-friendly softeners on whole tire rubber powder devulcanized by microwaves was investigated. The results showed that, when heated by microwaves, the temperature of rubber powder went down slowly with the increase of the amount of envirenment-friendly softeners, it also enhanced the uniformity of reclaimed rubber. When 10 phr PAX or 15 phr environment-friendly aromatic oil was added, the properties of the reclaimed rubber was best, and it performed better with PAX. Then we mixed Glycerin with PAX to explore the effect of the content of polar compounds in environmentally friendly softener system on whole tire rubber powder devulcanized by microwaves. The results showed that, when we mixed certain amount of glycerol with PAX, the temperature of rubber powder increased quickly and the processing properties of the reclaimed rubber became better while its mechanical properties decreased; When excessive amount of glycerol were used it showed poor compatibility with tire rubber powder then following experiments cannot be conducted. |
