Abstract:
The thermal conductive vinyl polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is prepared with boron nitride (BN) and boron nitride/ carbon nano tube (CNTs). Using thermal analyzer, dynamic rheological test and scanning electron microscopy to observe and analyze the material. Studies have shown that BN and CNTs content increases, thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of materials increased. When BN content is large enough to form a thermally conductive path is thus promoting the formation of filler network. CNTs formed between the planar structures of the BN particles are connected to form a three-dimensional network structure. The more filler the stronger the thermally conductive filler network formed. BN plays a major role in the network, and CNTs play a supporting role enhancement.
