Abstract: |
The influence of filler type and addition level on the properties of room temperature vulcanized vinyl-terminated silicone rubber was investigated.The results showed that,after hot air aging,the Shore A hardness and tensile strength of silicone rubber filled with silica,mica or montmorillonite increased,and the elongation at break decreased.The thermal stability of silicone rubber was improved by adding silica.When temperature was below 500 ℃,as the addition level of mica increased,the thermal stability of silicone rubber was improved.When temperature was above 500 ℃,the degradation of silicone rubber was accelerated by adding mica.The thermal stability of silicone rubber was improved by adding small amount of montmorillonite.However,as the addition level of montmorillonite increased,the thermal stability of silicone rubber decreased. |
