| The physical properties and thermal conductivity of nano-zinc oxide/EPDM composite were experimentally investigated,and compared with those of carbon black or silica reinforced EPDM.The results showed that the thermal conductivity of nano-zinc oxide was better than that of the traditional reinforcing fillers such as carbon black,silica etc.,the nano-zinc oxide provided EPDM compound with good reinforcement,and the heat build-up of nano-zinc oxide/EPDM composite was lower;the interfacial action between nano-zinc oxide and EPDM was strengthened,the dispersion of nano-zinc oxide,the physical properties and the heat build-up of the nano-zinc oxide/EPDM composite were improved significantly by in-situ modification with coupling agent Si69;the modified composite possessed good physical properties and thermal conductivity,and it could be used in rubber products which worked in the dynamic situation. |
