Abstract: |
The microstructure morphology of the CR rubber composites reinforced by various types of aramid pulp, including untreated and pre-treated aramid pulp, and the reinforcing characteristics of aramid pulp ultrafine short fibers on CR matrix were systematically and comparatively investigated. The results showed that the aramid pulp possessed unique ultrafine fibrils structure, the interfacial adhesion between the aramid pulp fiber and CR matrix was quite strong, and the reinforcing efficiency was decided by the dispersion, openness and orientation level of those ultrafine fibrils.Under the ambient and high temperature aramid pulp fibers provided the rubber matrix very high modulus. |
