| A crumb rubber/HDPE thermoplastic elastomer(TPE) was prepared and its properties were investigated.The results showed that the tensile strength of crumb rubber/HDPE TPE decreased significantly,but its rheological property and appearance quality of its extrudate improved by increasing the mixing temperature from 150 ℃ to 200 ℃,and the most suitable mixing temperature was 150 ℃;the increase of mill runs during modification of crumb rubber would make the particle size of crumb rubber finer resulting in the improved physical properties of modified crumb rubber/HDPE TPE,but as the mill runs increased over a certain level,the molecular chains of crumb rubber would break down resulting in poorer physical properties of modified crumb rubber/HDPE TPE;and the modified crumb rubber/HDPE TPE had good remillability |
