| Abstract: |
| A nano-zinc oxide masterbatch was prepared and the influence of the nano-zinc oxide masterbatch on the physical properties of NR vulcanizate and the level reduction mechanism of nano-zinc oxide were investigated.The test results showed that the tensile strength of the vulcanizate filled with 2 phr nano-zinc oxide masterbatch was higher than that with 5 phr common zinc oxide,and their other physical properties were similar to each other.It was found by TEM that there was no agglomeration in the nano-zinc oxide masterbatch-filled NR compound indicating that the dispersity of nano-zinc oxide masterbatch was better than those of common zinc oxide and nano-zinc oxide.Based on the analysis of thermodynamic theory,an action mechanism of nano-zinc oxide in rubber vulcanization was proposed to provide the theoretic basis for replacing common zinc oxide with nano-zinc oxide by 60% less weight. |
