| Abstract: |
| A rectorite/SBR nanocomposite was prepared with emulsion co-coagulation method.The effect of the rectorite purity on the physical properties of rectorite/SBR nanocomposite was investigated,and a comparison was made between the properties of rectorite/SBR nanocomposite and montmorillonite/SBR nanocomposite.The results showed that both rectorite/SBR composite and montmorillonite/SBR composite were nanocomposites,and the aspect ratio of the dispersed phase in the former was greater than that in the latter;the high purity of rectorite was the most important factor to prepare the rectorite/SBR nanocomposite with the excellent properties.Both nanocomposites were suitable to make the inner liner or inner tube of tire because of their good air tightness,in particular,the rectorite/SBR nanocomposite with the greater aspect ratio of its dispersed phase gave better air tightness. |
