Abstract:
      The effect of the blending time on the structure,the static and dynamic mechanical properties of dynamically vulcanized EPDM/PP blend was investigated.The results showed that the crystallinity of PP phase in the blend decreased at first,and then increased and the crystal structure of PP did not change as the blending time increased;the minimum crystallinity of PP phase was obtained when EPDM/PP was blended fo r 15 min;the crosslink density of EPDM phase increased gradually up to a certain level;the Tg peak of EPDM shifted to the high temperature region;the Tg peak of PP changed little,and its tanδ peak was obtained when EPDM/PP was blended for 15 min;and the optimal mechanical properties of blend were obtained when EPDM/PP was blended for 12 min.
