| Abstract: |
| The influence of the surface treatment and volume fraction of glass bead on the dynamic-mechanical properties of PP/EPDM/glass bead composite was investigated by using a dynamic-mechanical analyzer(DMA).The composites with two different glass beads were tested:one was surfacetreated with silane CP-03(B1)and the other was untreated(B2).The results showed that the storage modulus Ec′and the loss modulus Ec″of both the PP/EPDM/B1 composite and the PP/EPDM/B2 composite increased nonlinearly as the volume fraction φg of glass bead increased;under the same conditions,Ec′of the PP/EPDM/B1 was higher than that of the PP/EPDM/B2,and their Ec″ values were similar;the loss tangent tanδ of PP/EPDM/B1 decreased and tanδ of PP/EPDM/B2 increased as φg increased ;the glass transition temperature Tg of both composites changed irregularly. |
