This paper introduces the development and performance test results of epdm/chlorinated polyethylene blend; the blend is first used in the field of spacer dampers of high voltage transmission lines. The current damping rubber formula has slow curing speed and high production costs. It is necessary to develop a new formula, shorten the curing time and improve production efficiency. Through the reasonable determination of combination ratio of epdm/chlorinated polyethylene blend, especially the choice of reasonable co-vulcanization system, accelerate the vulcanization rate, shorten the curing time. The damping performance, physical and mechanical properties and ozone resistance property of epdm/chlorinated polyethylene blend meet the requirements of the electric power industry standard. The adoption of the new system can reduce the production cost, improve the production efficiency and meet the production demands. |
