The content of 18 kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) in rubber was determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and the effects of extraction solvent, chromatographic column type, internal and external standard methods, internal standard addition order on the quantitative analysis of PAHs were studied. The results showed that using toluene as the optimal extraction solvent and a dedicated chromatographic column to determine the content of 18 kinds of PAHs resulted in the smallest deviation. The results quantified using internal standard method were more accurate. The internal standards addition order had a small impact on quantitative analysis of PAHs.When monitoring the content of PAHs,using SH-5MS chromatographic column, ethyl acetate could be used as an extraction solvent to screen for PAHs content first.
