The structure characteristics and properties of 0.22+6+11×0.205ST and 3×0.24+9× 0.225CCST steel cord,as well as their application in the carcass of 12R22.5 18PR all-steel truck and bus radial tires were comparatively studied.The results of the finished tires performance test showed that compared with tires using 3×0.24+9×0.225CCST steel cord,when the strength of the cord was similar,the performance of tires using 0.22+6+11×0.205ST steel cord met the requirements of national standards,and the durability of the bead was greatly improved.At the same time,the tire weight was reduced and the production cost was lowered. |
