The influence of belt angle and apex height on the cornering properties of steel-belt radial tires was studied.The results showed that the smaller the belt angle was,the greater the tire’s cornering force,maximum cornering force and cornering stiffness were,and the smaller the aligning torque and aligning stiffness were.The greater the apex height was,the greater the tire’s cornering force,cornering stiffness and aligning stiffness were,the aligning torque changed little.Therefore,the smaller the belt angle of the tire and the greater the apex height were,the better the steering stability of the vehicle was. |
