The replacement of indirect zinc oxide by nano-zinc oxide in the steel-bonded compound,shoulder compound and inner liner compound of radial truck tire was investigated.The results showed that the replacement of indirect zinc oxide by nano-zinc oxide with 25% loss in weight resulted in the extended Mooney scorch time for steel-bonded compound and shoulder compound,and the reduced Mooney scorch time for inner liner compound;little changes in the physical properties for all three compounds,lower density and hysteresis,and enhanced reversion at elevated temperature;somewhat decrease of high temperature aging properties for steel-bonded compound and shoulder compound.The nano-zinc oxide was more suitable for inner liner compound. |
