| This paper briefed foreign and domestic tire development trends，the unique property advantage of steel cord to be skeleton material of radial tire and China steel cord industry history.The function needs of radial tire to carcass and belt steel cord were introduced combined with tire finit element analysis，and the requirements according to sustainable development of tires were described.The main development trends of steel cord were exhaustively analyzed from tenacity，structure，pre-deformation and coating aspects. |
