Title:Development Trend of Eco-friendly Tires and Technical Strategy of Linglong Tire

Abstract:

On Nov.1 2012, EU labelling regulation came into force. It regulated that all tires sold in European market need to be accompanied by a standardized label. To follow the global trend of eco-friendly tires, Linglong Tire has set up a cross-functional research team on green tire technology. Through the research of new compounds, structures and optimized indoor & outdoor test methods, Linglong has completed the development of four different technology systems, including computerized aided design, structure, compounds and testing system etc. Now, Linglong TBR tire of size 385/65R22.5 TE861 has reached EU label grade of A/B/2(RR/Wet/Noise) and PCR tire of size 205/55R16 Green-Max has reached B/A/2. Following the continuous study on high-end products, Linglong will enhance the whole technology level. At present, there are totally 16 popular TBR patterns have passed SmartWay verification. In 2013, Linglong has sold over 2 million high-performance TBR tires and 8 million high performance PCR tires in overseas market. Meanwhile, the eco-friendly technology system has set a solid technical foundation for further OE supplying. The research on green tire technology and its system establishment marks that Linglong is leading the green tire technology research in China.
