Chifei Wu

    Chifei Wu, born in 1960, is a professor in East China University of Science and Technology. He was admitted to Donghua University in 1978, and then studied in Japan in 1989. In 1993, he got the doctor degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology. Professor Wu worked as a deputy section supervisor in Tokai Rubber Industries, LTD from 1993 to 1999, after which, he taught at Kanazawa University and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology from 1999 to 2002. Then Professor Wu returned to work in 2002 and founded the polymer alloy laboratory in 2003. Now he is the professor and doctoral tutor of East China University of Science and Technology.
    Chifei Wu is the Youth Council of Chinese Materials Research Society, the member of China Rubber Chemical Society Professional Committee, the editor of Japanese Society of Plastic Forming editorial process as well as the member of Japanese Rubber Association and damping Engineering Research Council.
    Professor Wu assumes more than 20 projects such as the national 863 project, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), The Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI) and so on. Besides, Professor Wu was also subsidized by the Scientific Research Staring Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, Ministry of Education of China as well as the specific Foundation for the introduction of high-level overseas students. In 2004, he was named the best education worker in Shanghai.
    As a professor, Chifei Wu has published over 100 papers, including more than 80 SCI and applied for over 30 patents both at home and abroad in the last five years.
