摘要:

Thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) are materials with rubber-like properties, and have various applications in everyday life. In contrast to rubbers that achieve their elastic properties by chemical cross-links between macromolecules, TPEs become rubber-like materials by the formation of hard physical cross-links domains and soft continuous phase in a three-dimensional network. Nowadays, the commercial TPEs such as SBS and SIS are linear triblock copolymers synthesized by anionic polymerization, and then a lot of researches have been done to synthesize novel TPEs with good elastic property and mechanical properties. Inspired by the previous work that multigraft copolymers synthesized by high-vacuum anionic polymerization with polyisoprene as backbones and polystyrene as side chains could be as a sort of superelastomers, we report synthesis and characterization of multigraft copolymers with poly(n-butyl acrylate) or polyisoprene as soft backbones and polystyrene or poly(methyl methacrylate) as hard side chains by the combination of anionic polymerization and environment-friendly emulsion polymerization. Firstly, the hard macromonomers with different molecular weight were synthesized by living polymerization (high vacuum anionic polymerization and ATRP) and end-capping reaction. Secondly, the macromonomers copolymerized with the soft monomers in free radical emulsion polymerization initiated by AIBN and redox system, and the multigraft copolymers were obtained after the copolymerization. The molecular weight of macromonomers and multigraft copolymers was measured by GPC. The structure characterization of macromonomers and multigraft copolymers was investigated by NMR, MALDI-TOF and DSC. The microphase separation of multigraft copolymers was observed by AFM and TEM. The rheological property of multigraft copolymers was characterized via rheometer, and it showed that the multigraft copolymers could be a candidate of thermoplastic elastomers.

张秋禹:女,博士,长江学者特聘教授,高分子化学与物理及材料学专业博士生导师,理学院副院长。兼任《化学工程 》,《粘接 》等期刊编委,中国颗粒学会、陕西省化学会、陕西省环境学会理事等职务,2002-2004 在英国Loughborough University 大学作为英国皇家学会中国学者从事研究工作(Royal Society China Fellowships Programme, Loughborough Univeristy,IPTM),从事的研究领域为纳米高分子复合材料的研究。在国家自然基金、973、863国防技术基础、国防基础科研等项目的支持下长期从事功能高分子材料与微纳米尺度高分子/无机物复合材料、功能高分子的可控合成及与无机物的复合与组装、功能有机无机杂化材料等方面的的研究工作,取得了多项成果。
